Products to Use

  • Fragrance-free anti-bacterial soaps
    (orange Dial or Softsoap)

  • Aquaphor or Hustle Butter

  • Unscented lotion
    (Lubriderm or Eucerin)

Products to Avoid

  • Petroleum jelly (Vaseline)

  • Scented lotions or alcohol-based products

  • Heavy ointments

    • Leave the bandage or wrap on for the time we discussed (usually until the next morning).

    • Wash your hands before touching your tattoo.

    • Gently wash with warm water and fragrance-free soap.

    • Pat dry with a clean towel or let it air-dry.

    • Apply a thin layer of your recommended aftercare ointment/lotion (Aquaphor or Lubriderm).

    • Avoid soaking, swimming, and direct sun exposure.

    • Do not scratch or pick the tattoo.

    • Wash your tattoo once or twice a day with mild, unscented soap.

    • Keep it lightly moisturized; do not over-apply lotion.

    • Avoid soaking, swimming, and direct sun exposure.

    • Wear clean, loose clothing over the area.

    • Do not scratch or pick scabs or peeling skin.

    • Continue moisturizing as needed; most peeling will stop after 1–2 weeks.

    • The tattoo may look dull or shiny until the new skin fully forms.

    • Keep protecting it from sun and friction while it finishes healing.

Touch-ups may be needed depending on placement and skin type.
I offer complimentary touch-ups within a year of your appointment once your tattoo is fully healed.
